"Approved" A word we've been waiting to hear for a long time

Finally!
We heard from "the City" today and our building plans are approved! We can now officially begin building. (Until now we have only been doing prep work to get the house and yard ready to dig the footings and foundation. The contractors will be here Wed. or Thurs. to dig the basement.

We are so excited!! They will pour the footings the next day, and the foundation the following day. This time next week, we will have a huge hole in our backyard. Any of you are welcome to drop in for a guided tour. Emphasis on guided. We want to avoid the liability of curious onlookers, but we would love to show you around and show our plans. They have changed quite a bit since the original plans we posted.

So, now it is official. Hooray!
